We keep a couple of back issues of the Stranger and the Seattle Weekly each week. So if you’re in need of a back issue of one of these (last couple months) – like your sweetie missed that Valentine personal you put in – drop in and get your back issue at our store. And if you just need a current issue to find out what’s going on around town now, we’ve got those too!
And while you’re in the store, be sure and check out our activist table, where we put out petitions etc. that we find relevant and think would be of interest to our customers. Currently we have a petition to the Seattle City Council to declare that corporations ARE NOT people in the City of Seattle. We also have information on our friend Linde Knighton, who is running for Washington State legislature 36th District Rep, Position 2.
First let’s start with the definition of bigot from dictionary.com:
a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.
With Santorum’s intolerance of LGBTs and their rights I think he fits the definition perfectly. And by extension anybody who is willing to vote for him is willing to vote for a bigot.
Electing Santorum would like spreading a little Santorum all over the world.
As usual, it’s very dead in here during the last hour of business (5-6pm), so come in the next 10 minutes, say “it’s the Zombie Hour”, and get 75%(!) off any purchase (excluding el-wire).
We haven’t actually been paying too much attention to our search engine stats lately. But since this one came up, we thought we’d list it. We currently have a top three ranking on Google (excluding) the sponsored links for the search term
“what is the youngest country in the world 2012″.
Note that we only list them as we see them in our log files, as we could probably come up with hundreds of search terms that would put us in the top three. We used to list any terms that were in the top ten; however that was almost too easy! There were LOTS of search terms that our site turned up for.
We’ll post more of these terms as we encounter them in our log files.
Note that we will NOT be listing search terms that have any of the words “Not”, “A”, and “Number” in them, as we already know we tend to rank highly for search terms that contain these words. At one point, on Yahoo our site was number one on a search for “Not A Number” out of 3.5 BILLION pages. Now I think we’re down to number two, which considering the origin of our name seems rather appropriate.
