Many thanks to all the nice things people from out of town have said! We kind of thought Wallingford was off the beaten track for tourists, but it pleasantly seems that is not the case. We are also proud to have been voted in as a People’s Pick in 2006, and the Best Place to Meet the Proprietors in the 2009 Seattle Weekly poll.
We thank the people below for their wonderful comments.

Professional-looking homemade handmade cards are simple to make by folks of all skill levels. They may be adorned with any type of design imaginable, contain beautiful poetry or have a blank inside so that they are ideal for all occasions. Handmade handmade cards could be true works of artistic creation. Designers of handmade minute card aren’t restricted to the amount of individuals with that they can share their cards. Card designers can sell their cards to everyone, plus some can change homemade handmade cards right into a lucrative business.
Basic Card Creation Select a heavy weight paper. Choose the paper color, finish and texture to improve your desired effect. For autumnal cards use beiges, gold and warm-hued papers. Winter-themed cards must have an awesome color scheme. Bright brilliant colors work most useful for summer, while pastel colors are optimal for spring-themed cards. Create original poetry or borrow poetry from past poets. Ensure that whatever words or poetry you utilize don’t have a copyright, and credit their author. Either print the inside of the card or use markers and stencils to hand-write your words. The inside your card can also be left blank. Select a picture, artwork or over all theme for the card. Just take original images or locate GNU photography, which will be licensed to everyone, to improve your card. Photographs might be printed in vivid color, grey scale, sepia tone or monochrome. It’s ok to crop pictures or inflate pictures to ensure that merely a certain part of an image can be used. Images should be reproduced directly onto cardstock paper with industrial strength glue, or printed onto the card’s surface. Notice that should you glue your pictures on your card, any interior designs or wording should be printed prior to the images and embellishments are added. Determine the focus of one’s card. A card might have a center focus or an off-center focus. Choose your desired layout, and place your primary image on that part of the page. Be keep in mind the card’s visual flow for just about any additional image placement. Add buttons, ribbon or attractive assorted items to the leading of one’s card. Most craft stores consist of scrapbooking materials that could offer an extra touch of class to a handmade card. Place finished cards in plastic sleeves for protection. Sell Your Cards Produce a sample kit. Just take examples of your homemade cards to local companies. Non-franchised pharmacies, florists and mom and pop bookstores are excellent places to market your cards. Continually be polite when talking with store owners, and also have a great attitude. Remember, you’re offering your services. Sell your cards on line. There are many on line craft malls that sell handmade crafts. Several websites charge a little fee because of their services, so always browse the small print in virtually any contract. Purchase booth space at a craft mall or craft fair. Handmade crafts sell well for the reason that type of environment. Again, you should understand how much the booth costs and when a craft mall requires a percentage of one’s sales before agreeing to any contract.
