From yesterday we found that watering golf courses uses about 74 billion gallons per yer of water, and fracking uses between 70 to 140 billion per yer. How does this compare to residential lawn watering? According to the EPA outside residential water usage is about 9 billion gallons per DAY or an astounding 3.2 trillion gallons per yer FAR dwarfing the usage fracking and golf course watering combined. If we want to save water, it helps to start at home.
Moving on with water questions, what it the largest source of fresh water in the world, and for extra credit, how much is there? (hint, it is Great).
All these questions on water are interesting. Makes me think more about my own usage.
