Site Stats - Weird anomalies in Search Engine Rankings
Recently we have noticed that our website has top 10 rankings for some very strange search terms, so out of curiousity and we have to admit some vanity we are going to start listing the top 10 rankings that we have, and out of how many. To be honest, some of these are very strange and we had no intention of high rankings for these, although some of them we certainly hoped to rank highly.
Many thanks to all who have linked to us, and helped us achieve these rankings. We do plan to get a link and affiliates page up soon. We have noticed the pattern (and are sure you will too, if you keep visiting) in that our blog pages featuring trivia questions and movies passes rank quite highly. We look forward to raising our rankings for the following terms: Gifts, Political, Humorous, Fun, Weird, Wacky, Strange, Unique, Unusual, Stuff, Buttons, Stickers, Decals, Books, Party, Duckies, Toys, Magnets, Cards, Seattle, Wallingford or some conjuction - like "Political gifts" and "Unique gifts". So if you ended up coming into this page due to one of the search terms listed, you have come to the right place. We do encourage you, if ever in the Seattle area, to drop in and visit our store, as we have MANY things in the store that we never plan to feature on the web. Hmmm, just thinking that I should probably make sure to set my preferences in browsing so that Google doesn't incorporate local data, as that will probably mess up some of these rankings?
This next one, we shouldn't rank as #1! Bottle Works down the street from us should have come up first. They have a fantastic beer selection, just 2 blocks west of us. If you do come to the neighborhood, be sure to stop in for a laugh.

It will be interesting to see if there is any change in the search engine results we see since Google now tailors search results to each individual searcher.

Bingwhack is number 3 and number 1

Number 3 on Bing and 1 on Google, not that many results on either search engine, bet we rank highly on Yahoo as well.

This is a good term for us to have a good rank for, as we do have LOTS of political stuff in the store . Sorry to say we don't have so much online, but we're working on it.

This is a good one for us to have a top ranking for, as we do carry a lot of political stuff, and we've been called Seattle's Political Gifts Store.

We do realize that these rankings may change due to where the search is originating, as Google (and most of the search engines) now make some decisions on what to return based on what they percieve as the origin of the query. So the rule of thumb for being listed here is that if the query shows up in our logs, and we're in the top 3 when we click on it, we list it.

Another search for vegan boots - yes we currently have them in stock; although we are probably going to phase them out. If you're willing to wait and take the risk we may not have your size, they will probably be half price soon.
