Not A Number Cards & Gifts
Helping to keep the Coolest Block Cool since 2005
The Coolest Block in Wallingford
is
The block bounded by N. 44th and N. 45th between Meridian and Burke
Don't just take our word for it, check out the reviews on Yelp and the 2005 Evvie Awards
from the Evergreen Monthly, 4 out 8 businesses rated best mentions and
even a first place award - Congratulations Kuan Yin Teahouse! This
block has slowly been repopulated with new businesses in the last 2-3
years, as much of the block had been a vacant storefront since the
early 80s. Listed in order from East to West, and then around the
corner on to Burke Ave., the following businesses now occupy the block.
- Chase - formerly Washington Mutual Bank - yes we know they are a stodgy financial institution, but they did start in Seattle, and Erik at who worked at this bank makes very cool cards in his spare time, which we sell in our store so we give them a cool rating.
- Joule - Newly opened in the place of Plamyra (which we loved, and we miss the owner's kids), this restaurant has been earning RAVE reviews. Their food is TREMENDOUS, all awards are richly deserved - some of the best tofu I've ever eaten.
- Kuan Yin Teahouse - Award winning teahouse *
- Not A Number Cards & Gifts - In case you somehow just stumbled on this page, that's us
mentioned in the Evvie awards as one of the best places to laugh out
loud in Seattle (we're proud to notice that we're one of only a couple commercial
places mentioned) *
- Fainting Goat Gelato - Fantastic gelato with 18 rotating flavors and 5 VEGAN (yes vegan) options. *
- Michael Lawless - financial planner
- Chinese Herbal Medicine Clinic - Providing traditional Chinese medicine, as well as massages.
- Spaht Homeopathic Medical Spa - Helping you to look and feel your best.*
