About Us
Not A Number is owned and operated by the Head Cheese and Number Six . One of whom is almost always there, except Sundays. So stop in for a laugh and smile and while there, introduce yourself. We look forward to your vistits!
Many people have asked us about the origin of our store name. It does actually come from a very specific pop culture reference, and we have a standing prize for all visitors who can tell us the origin of the name. We do provide the following clues:
- It's from a British TV series
- It's from 1967
- There were only 17 episodes
- It is NOT a comedy
There are clues on the website, and around our store. Google "Not A Number" and you shall find the answer, but beware the path to "Who is Number One" is treacherous. To give any more clues, well as they say in the series "That would be telling".
We do often give prize for creative (if not the sought after) answers. The best one we've had so far was
